Function
Mission
The Crane Maintenance Responsible will report to the Infrastructure Manager.
The main scope of responsibilities involves:
- Coordination of the maintenance and repair execution on equipment
- Ensuring that the functional and operational conditions of the equipment is continuously maintained & repaired according
Main Responsibilities
- Insure the equipment complience with safety regulations.
- Insure timely deployment of the preventive and corrective maintenance, including development of preventive maintenance program and equipment conditions monitoring.
- In charge for CAPEX program development and projects implementation.
- Coordination of the activities between site team and contractors for deployment of the above topics.
- Carry responsibility as the Project Lead for equipment improvement projects.
- Support the implementation and execution of the maintenance strategy for the equipment to ensure achievement of the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Determine the repair method to control the R&M cost considering the minimum safety requirements.
- Coordinate and monitor maintenance and repair activities on the equipment.
- Perform quality control inspections post work order completion to ensure that the equipment is returned to the Operations department in a safe and optimal operational condition.
- Ensures the efficient and effective use of shift hours (capacity utilization) by assigned direct reports.
- Oversee and/or assist Mechanics & Electricians in diagnosis of faults and reporting.
Profile
Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience with cranes mainteannce and supervision, maintenance experience with leading a team of mechanics/electricians is preferred.
Skills
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Knowledgeable of Occupational Health & Safety requirements.
- Experienced in Maintenance management software, SAP.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work to a flexible time schedule when required (i.e. during off-hour equipment breakdowns or to meet equipment readiness deadlines set by operational demand).
