We are excited to announce the development of three new cutting-edge units at Port Jérôme, France, covering the full production cycle: a fermentation plant transforming glucose into lactic acid, a polymerization unit producing PLA, and a molecular recycling facility dedicated to giving new life to PLA. These state-of-the-art facilities will have a production capacity of 75,000 tons of PLA per year, supported by a €500 million investment.
As we expand our team in Brussels, we’re looking for visionary professionals to lead and drive this ambitious project.

Job Details
Function
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead and coordinate medium- to large-scale projects, both in Belgium and France. From the PDP phase through to implementation and start-up, you will be responsible for ensuring that each (sub)project is executed smoothly, on time, and within budget. Your expertise will be crucial in driving innovative, sustainable solutions that align with Futerro’s mission of leading the bioplastics revolution.
Main taks :
- Define project objectives and technical specifications, ensuring alignment with business goals
- Manage contracts by initiating, collecting, and consolidating requests
- Contribute to the project scheduling process by providing engineering milestones and requirements
- Coordinate internal and external teams to deliver key project milestones on time and within scope
- Provide clear guidance to the engineering team (internal and external), utilizing existing or new project engineering instructions and procedures
- Oversee the creation and approval of critical engineering deliverables and key project documents
- Ensure strict adherence to relevant standards, regulations, and best practices
- Facilitate technical coordination with project stakeholders and promote clear communication across all teams
- Lead design and safety reviews, ensuring follow-up actions are implemented and tracked
- Prepare and finalize comprehensive engineering documentation, including lessons learned for future projects
- Validate and monitor project CAPEX/OPEX models to ensure financial viability
- Consolidate and monitor engineering budgets, providing proactive alerts on variations and proposing mitigation measures as needed
Profile
Profile :
- Engineering degree in Process Engineering, Electromechanical, Chemical, or a related field
- Proven experience in managing large-scale projects (>50 million+) within the chemical or process industries
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time for international and local projects
- Strong skills in project planning, organization, and team leadership
- Autonomous, detail-oriented, and capable of providing clear, concise summaries
Skills :
- A natural team leader with strong interpersonal and leadership abilities
- Technical proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
