For its headquarters based in Wavre (Belgium), Automatic Systems is currently looking for a Product Manager.
Job Details
Function
As a Product Manager, you will work closely with the Product Director in guiding a cross-departmental team that is charged with the product lines management & improvement as a division.
This extends from improving the documentation and pricing and sales support tools but also monitoring and maximizing the profitability of existing products to developing new products.
You will drive the process of optimizing our product offering and releasing new products to the market to ensure our product scope is successfully viable
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Product life cycle and portfolio management. Analysis of product portfolio, suggest new product development / improvement, management of discontinued products.
- Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and stakeholders and monitor competitor activity and industry trends.
- Product pricing management – new product pricing, price adjustment, pricelist editing.
- Improving Product Documentation and creating tools to support the Sales Team globally
- Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
You will:
- Work with an Engineering counterpart to define product management & development requirements.
- Work closely with the Product Director in product life cycle and portfolio management
- Support the area sales manager with any product inquiry.
- Serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, working with the sales channel and key customers.
Profile
You must possess:
- a unique blend of business and technical savvy
- a strong knowledge in physical security and/or access control technology
- You must enjoy spending time with Sales and Customers to understand their problems and find innovative solutions for the broader market.
- have a big picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality;
- be able to communicate with all areas of the company;
- have a good team spirit;
- be innovative;
- be accountable.
- 5-10 years of Product Management and/or Development in a technical environment, sales BTB and/or product marketing in a technical environment.
- Master or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Marketing or any related fields.
- You speak perfectly French and English
- You must be prepared to travel at least 20% of your working time per month
