Mission

The Sourcing Lead in charg of the Maintenance Category will be responsible for supporting the NLMK Belgium through managing the execution of the category sourcing strategies for maintenance service and spare parts.

Reporting to the Warehouse & Procurement Manager, the Sourcing Lead is part of a team of 5. Your scope is for NLMK Belgium (La Louvière, Clabecq, Manage) and you will be located in La Louvière,with regular presence in Clabecq and occasional travel within Europe. The team benefits from close proximity to operational colleagues.

The cross-site approach will be applicable – think synergies and act local. As owner of the one of largest and most diversified categories, the Sourcing Lead should be eager to make a difference.

HYBRID WORKING PATTERN: This role is predominantly on-site in Belgium. On occasions and with prior management agreement working from home may be accommodated.

Main responsibilities

• Sourcing strategy: Collaborate and Lead in developing the maintenance sourcing strategy. Execute the strategy with robust implementation plan to ensure they effectively meet the business challenges (working ratio and cost impact) for both product lines: plate (Clabecq plant) and strip (La Louvière plant).
• Risk Mitigation: understand the strategic supply of the plants and possible market conditions that can affect delivery and cost. The sourcing strategies will include risk mitigation such as multi-sourcing and performance guarantees as needed.
• Contract Management: Manage contracts meticulously to ensure compliance and optimal performance, collaborating with Legal when appropriate.
• Negotiations: utilize negotiations to maximize value and cost savings benefit while lowering risk and positively influence working ratio.
• Supplier Management: establish preferred suppliers for assigned category in collaboration with the stakeholders. Identify service areas of need within NLMK Belgium and develop relationships with new suppliers to meet those needs. Maintain supplier base as needed to allow for proper implementation of bidding procedures and RFP's. Implement supplier performance management in collaboration with the stakeholders and ensure monitor of (KPI's) key performance indicators.
• Stakeholder Management: Engage and work very closely with stakeholders from key functions (Production, Maintenance, Finance etc.) at all level of the organization to influence, convince, and drive initiatives and help deliver the agreed results.

Profile

Background

• Master’s degree in engineering or finance.
• 5 years + of experience in Procurement for technical categories.
• Level of proficiency with core Procurement skills (e.g., supplier management and performance, supply market analysis, category management, Procurement Excellence, etc.).
• Strong knowledge in maintenance processes (MRO and outsourcing process).
• Project management experience.
• Contract management experience.

Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and French with ability to present complex information to local management.
• Analytical, sound judgment and decision making, problem solver.
• Strong relationships with internal stakeholders skills, ensuring alignment and collaboration with a sense of leadership and empowerment.
• Strong negotiation skills
• Results oriented and able to independently create and deliver
• LEAN skills and SAP experience is a plus
