Function
Your Mission:
As an Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in the development, optimization, and maintenance of automated systems within our industrial site. You will be responsible for supervision, modifications, and continuous improvement of PLCs and HMI interfaces in your dedicated area.
Your Responsibilities:

Integration and Collaboration: Join a team of 5 automation specialists in "Automation, Robotics, Vision" – you will never be alone!

Understanding the Process: A fundamental requirement before any intervention.

Failure Analysis and Troubleshooting: Diagnose malfunctions, identify root causes, propose and implement solutions.

Modifications and Updates: Program and adjust PLCs and HMI interfaces, ensuring rigorous tracking and archiving of changes.

Documentation and Traceability: Write and distribute procedures and explanatory notes on automation developments.

Technical Support: Assist electromechanics teams with complex failures.

Multidisciplinary Teamwork: Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Electrical, and Mechanical departments.

Work and Maintenance Management: Prepare work orders, integrate preventive and predictive maintenance plans into the CMMS.

Stock Management: Monitor automation consumables and spare parts.

Subcontractor Supervision: Oversee automation work on new equipment.

Availability and Commitment: Participate in on-call duty outside of working hours.

Continuous Improvement: Contribute to 6S, LOTO projects, and equipment upgrades.

Training and Knowledge Sharing: Train production staff on best automation practices.

CAPEX Project Management: Lead investment projects related to your area – a motivating challenge!
Profile

Education: Bachelor’s degree in automation or significant experience (> 5 years) in industrial automation.

Experience: Prior experience in the steel industry or heavy industry is a plus.

Technical Skills:
-
Programming and diagnostics on SIEMENS S7, TIA Portal, WinCC.

Proficiency in Wonderware Intouch is a plus.

Knowledge of PLCs, variable speed drives (Drive), robotics, and industrial vision is appreciated.
