In our Sales & Research Center in Brussels we are looking for a Marketing Manager – PLA Bioplastic

Function

As Marketing Manager, you will support our mission to develop a profitable PLA bioplastics business by identifying and analyzing key markets and applications to define the future growth strategy of the company. You will also manage the product portfolio to maintain a competitive position in the bioplastic market and successfully offer alternative solutions to conventional fossil-based plastics. You will promote, in collaboration with commercial and technical teams, our PLA solutions to existing new markets and will ensure strong visibility of the company and associated brandnames through organizing and attending fairs and conferences.

Main Activities

• Strategic Marketing
  • Develop and maintain detailed analysis of relevant market segments and new application areas where PLA could substitute conventional fossil-based plastics. This includes identifying key drivers and stakeholders throughout the entire value chain, competitive forces and new developments/technologies.
  • Collect and report competitive intelligence to the commercial team and assist in creating competitive assessment tools for sales.
  • Understand customer needs (lead VOC) and translate into strong value proposition for PLA products. Work in close collaboration with commercial team and application development team to ensure that adapted technical solutions are developed and offered to customers.
  • Define new business models to support the company growth strategy.
  • Define strategy by market segments and coordinate strategy implementation process together with internal key stakeholders (application development, business development, sales, regulatory).
  • Develop industry network and manage strategic partnerships with external stakeholders (brand-owners, industry associations, distributors, etc.).

• Digital/Communication Marketing:
  • Provide support for launches of new products with required documentation package.
  • Coordinate the development of meanigful documentation package (together with application development, business development, sales) to be used in marketing and sales communication activities (conferences, customers visits, faires, social media presence).
  • Reponsible for branding startegy.
  • Organize and participate in trade shows.
  • In charge of company website content and social media.

Scope of the function

You will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer.

Profile

Profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or Sciences
• Minimum of four years’ experience in marketing and/or product management in the chemical industry
• Experience in the bioplastics industry (packaging, 3D printing, healthcare, etc.) is preferred
• Basic IT capabilities (Microsoft, Canva)
• Passion for sustainability and making positive changes on the planet
