we’re recruiting a

Manufacturing Engineer

Driven by continuous improvement?

• You initiate and coordinate all kinds of improvement projects within our assembly and logistics production department. Driven by our Global Assembly Standard we focus on eliminating waste (operational excellence program). For this you gather input from operators and the leadership team, combined with your own observations and analysis.
• With continuous improvement in mind, you support the leadership team by analyzing the current working processes and methodologies: to optimize the assembly process, material and warehouse flow to decrease the takt time, WIP and inventory or NVAA. You think critically about the tools used, the setup of workstations, the content of work instructions, order to assemble, etc. using layout studies, NVAA studies, etc. You use KPIs to monitor the results.
• You develop propositions that benefit the quality (reducing human error) and efficiency of work, keeping in mind different factors such as ROI, quality, safety, ergonomics, ...
• As a project leader, you develop a project plan and you make sure that all the stakeholders are involved. You are responsible to deliver within time and budget. For more complex projects you develop (cross functional) project teams that you support and coordinate. You also collaborate with other manufacturing plants.
• You develop a good understanding of our ERP production system (SAP), in order to optimize the material and information flow. You give support to other users of our ERP production system.

Profile

Strong communicator with a focus on assembly processes and material flow?

• You have a technical or logistics master’s degree. A strong technical knowledge and a proven history of process engineering is recommended. Experience in a production environment is an extra asset.
• In your role as a project manager, you like working on and coordinating improvement projects on a daily basis. Knowledge of the LEAN principle is an asset. Also, previous experiences in project management are an advantage.
• You can express yourself fluently in Dutch and English, both orally and in writing.
• You combine a strong technical interest and analytical mindset with a fluent and purposeful communication style. Insights in digital systems is beneficial.
• You like to look for solutions independently and at the same time you find it important to be part of a team that can count on your contribution.
